Marvelous Maple

Autumn is my favorite season so I made a series of fall leaves with various color combinations.To capture the beauty of autumn all year long I have created this maple leaf candy dish which can also be hung. It is created by carefully layering various colors of powdered and crushed glass to bring out the veins in the leaf as well as the colors of fall. The last step is called slumping which is heating it just enough to change it into a slightly curved shape.  It is 8“ x 7“ x 1 3/4 inches in size.
